    Outsider flashlight

Posted by Ryan on 2nd Mar 2021

I just received my new Outsider light and have been using it . I'm very impressed with the brightness and ease of use. All the extras that were sent are appreciated as well. I've been using a StealthLight Pro Tac 21 and up till now I thought it amazingly bright for its size.

This Outsider light is not only brighter but has many more features. The different levels of brightness, being able to recharge instead of the cost of replacement batteries and the durable good looks are features that cause me to say: I love this light!

I was going to suggest being able to have the light come back on at whatever level you usually use it, instead of cycling thru modes. I realized that feature was already being utilized after more experimenting. (And reading the instructions )

ThruNite Outsider light is all it was advertised to be. I'm very pleased.

    Great powerful flashlight!

Posted by Dirk Jung on 2nd Mar 2021

When I unpacked it, I was impressed with the beautiful design and excellent build quality of the TC15 The Outsider Edition.
It’s a handy flashlight with a very great performance. The included accessories of the TC15 leaves nothing to be desired: It is a complete package. You don’t need to buy an additional charger, nor battery, charging cable, etc., since everything is included.
Very useful is also the integrated charging function and the LED switch, which indicates the charge status of the battery.
Overall, I really like this flashlight a lot and it will be my daily EDC light for the near future.

    Perfect in the hand!

Posted by Charles on 25th Jan 2021

In the limited testing that I’ve done, the TC15 works wonderfully as an everyday carry light. It will work well for hiking and camping as well, especially on low or medium mode, where it will last for hours. The size is perfect for a secure grip.

I do wish, however, that it came with a bidirectional clip. Although it’s probably too heavy to clip onto a baseball cap, it would be great to clip onto a molle system, particularly on the shoulder straps of a hiking backpack for hands free carry.

Just what I was looking for!

Posted by Camden Medeiros on 26th Dec 2020

I needed a flashlight for everyday use and wanted something rechargeable as I didn’t want to have to buy batteries anymore. After all the research I finally decided on the TC15. For the price and ease of use I thought this was the best choice for the money. I also would have been happy with the TC12 as well. I love the feel of the button and how simple the UI is when I let other borrow it. It’s my first 18650 light and I am real happy with the battery life and performance. I’d be happy to recommend this to others. Especially during a 20% sale.

    Flashaholic, age seventy or so.

Posted by Me, Bob on 3rd Jul 2020

Been doing flashlights for a couple-decades (ah, three?) First it was Streamlight (like when LED's sucked), then FourSevens, ZebraLight, Fenix, etc., to include some rare birds like LiteFlux. Unfortunately FourSevens is no more (now namesake only). By the way, my most favorite EDC is a Preon-1 (4-Sevens) running on 10440 li-ion (AAA size equivilant) It's not supposed to run on these things, but it does! And I might dare any 'AA' flashlight to compete with it. Well, maybe a ThruNite T10 II. And yes, I needed to give that one a try too, running on lithium of course. It does amazingly well by the way, but hardly as slim and perfect as a Preon-1.

And who the heck is ThruNite. Huh?

Every four or five years I check in, see what's new, or what's not. The last flashlight I bought was a Fenix TK-75 (five-years ago?) Yep, a monster, that along with four 18650 batteries and a charger, Like $260 bucks. So is it brighter than a ThruNite TC15? Well ya, dah, just do the math. Is the TC15 more practical than a five-pound war club? Well probably, and dah again.

For some reason I wanted to buy my boys some flashlights (or) I just needed to buy some flashlights, as flasoholics do. So I did some research. Long story short, I went with the TC15. I purchased four of them from Amazon. I also purchased three more direct from ThruNite, such shipped via Amazon with free shipping. The 'lack' of MN sales tax from ThruNite-direct might have been a mistake, or a perk? Then who's to complain. Also a fathers day discount, $41-bucks for the bronze. Bear in mind, I paid $59 for the first four and had no problem.

Bottom line, these gifts were well received. For those that don't want to buy batteries and chargers this might be the ticket, as it has some brains, and the included cell is rechargeable with USB cable. By the way, the cells are rebranded Samsungs, probably the most qualified cells on the planet. ThruNite doesn't mention this, but they should!

My only complaint might be the forward on-off button, as it's literally impossible to find in the dark. In this instance I rely on my ZebraLight, SC600W. It's forward switch is deeply recessed. Just roll your thumb and bingo! This instant light source along with a 15-round 380 pistol on my night-stand remains sufficient for zombies, anarchists and other left-leaning shit. Works for me anyway :0)

To note, I put a daub of E6000 on the T10 II power button. It now exposes itself like a stiff-tit. I can now find this button with relative ease, as old men might acknowledge from memory, stiff tits are easy to find. I'll apply same to my TC15. ThruNite might take note, at least something so you can find the damn button.

Might add, not so much has changed in the last five- years, my opinion. Maybe some efficency for battery life, don't know. I do know however, they're pushing the crap out of these things. The result is heat. No problem for me. After your done showing off with 3-billion lumins, just revert back to about 300, for all practical purposes. And yes, I like showing off too. And don't we all.

No favorite brands. I simply search for quality and value. They're all Chinese manufacture of course. And wow, so many fantastic flashlights out there. Bit of research and I just happened to pick this one.

Funny. I'm now clicking my TC15 on and off for absolutely no reason what-so-ever. A flashoholic stuper maybe. Regards, Bob
